I've never been a big fan of selective coloring, but I quite like it on this image. And I've never been a fan of blurry images either, but again, I love the blur in this one! This is from Kara and Billy's wedding last weekend. With 2 weddings last week, I am neck-high in editing and think it may be a month before I have a chance to pick up a camera again!

one word....yuck!!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of shooting Tracey and Darryl's wedding. Tracy and I worked together for almost 20 years, so I was thrilled to be part of her special day. Congratulations Tracey and Darryl!

Busy weekend - a wedding yesterday and another again today. We shot some images in the Manitoba Legislature yesterday - it's such a beautiful building.

Some of you may remember Katie - the little girl with the pink hat? Anyway, she's growing up but still as cute as ever.

After reading Hillary's comment about needing to get back into the daily routine, I kind of realized that I've been using "busy" as an excuse. The problem I find every time I "go away" from the community here is that I forget to just play and have fun with the camera. So, here's to yet another attempt at just having fun....

This shot is from a couple of days ago. We were camping and I was thrilled to find a horse show going on in the park. Of the dozens of riders I snapped that morning, this was perhaps the only rider who was doing what you're supposed to do going over a jump. Eyes on the next one!

Tori, once again. It was finally nice enough to step outside today....Spring is on the way :)

Luca, my friends 7-month old

I knew I shouldn't have said anything about "light at the end of the tunnel" yesterday - our furnace died late last night, and it was freezing!!!! Fortunately, after about 18 hours without it, it's going again now. it will have to be replaced, likely this week. Uggg...I could have had a Mk II, or a 70-200, or, knowing our luck, BOTH!!

I'm sorry I haven't kept up with commenting on all your posts for the last week or so - although I did give many the green "thumbs up"!
I am so thankful to be saying goodbye to February and hello to March. The thaw usually starts in March. Oh, we will still get some pretty crappy weather yet, but the light is at the end of the tunnel!

The bloom was well past it's glory, but it still looked beautiful to me.

Just playing with filters again. This was taken in England last summer. I'm sure glad I have hundreds of pictures I never did anything with at the time I shot them - they saved me from having to drag out the macro lens again tonight!

Here's a shot you will very rarely see - my oldest son, Matt. He will not pose for a shot, nor will he allow me to just "snap" one - however, he's the proud new owner of a shiny new truck, and so this is a shot of him loading his 700 lbs of tools into the back of it. Not the best of shots, but he loves the "grunge" look (thank you Topaz, yet again!) - he's agreed that he'd like to have some better shots taken when the weather warms up a bit. I almost fell over in shock when he said that!

I really need winter to be over. I'm not sure I can muster another snow-covered scene or macro shot...

Apologies for not commenting on many pictures today - I'm not sure what's going on - can't seem to comment without having to go to everyone's own gallery first, and even then, half the time it's not letting me comment. I get so impatient when things don't work the way they're supposed to!
